Who is Dr. Akiva Daum​

Dr. Akiva M. Daum, MD FAPA is a Florida licensed psychiatrist who received his B.S. in microbiology and molecular biology from the University of Central Florida and his M.D. from the University of South Florida, College of Medicine. His residency in general psychiatry and addiction fellowship were completed through Boston University Medical Center and he has worked in both the inpatient and outpatient settings for general adult and substance use disorder programs.

 

In 2023, after working with Kimmel Psychology and Associates for several years, Dr. Daum accepted the challenge of starting his own psychiatric practice. On March 2023, Reclaim Mental Health, LLC was born and doors were opened in April. Dr Daum continues to hold true to the same values and practices and continues to see patients from a variety of backgrounds and mental health conditions using innovative and evidence-based techniques. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both General and Addiction Psychiatry and a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.

Dr. Daum has expertise in psychiatric conditions and specifically in the use of medications for opioid use disorders including Buprenorphine/Naloxone and Naltrexone and in the use of medications for alcohol use disorders including naltrexone, acamprosate, and disulfiram.
